Hello, I’m Nora Yagan and my passion is to help couples re-create their relationships back to a warm, loving and supportive one.
I know firsthand that a marriage can encounter a lot of challenges. But I also know that no matter what you are facing, if YOU are devoted to work on it, YOU could bring it back on track and have a genuinely strong relationship with your spouse again.
Here is a short version of my story and how I got into coaching…
And if you are curious to know the details then here is the longer version:
After earning my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, I got married and moved to the U.S. to be with the love of my life!
At that time, getting used to my new life was a bit of a challenge.
Not only was I adjusting to a new country and culture, I was learning to live with a new person– my husband – a wonderful man from a very different background, with very different habits than mine. I could not expect to have it my way all the time, and neither could he. He likes to squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom, I squeezed it from the middle! I like to fall asleep with the TV on, he doesn’t. He likes to stay up late, I don’t…We couldn’t be more different at times as the list went on, and on.
We were deeply compatible in other ways, but these minor differences caused the most frustration and required the most flexibility and compromise. Overtime, we learned how to give and take, agree to disagree, communicate better, and let the little things go.
Fast-forward a few years and two children later, my life as a mom and wife needed a reboot after the sudden and unexpected passing of my father. I was devastated and deeply heartbroken. After some time spent reflecting and realizing that life is short, I came to a fork in the road. Either to let life pass me by or to do something that is truly fulfilling.
Going back to engineering didn’t seem right as I never enjoyed dealing with data and digital networks and always loved connecting with people. So I decided to become a Life Coach and went to coaching school. I received my training at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) – one of the nation’s most recognized schools for coaching with the International Coach Federation (ICF). I chose to specialize in relationships because I had years of hands-on experience; I understood the difficulties and challenges that most marriages go through and I, personally, had learned how to navigate them gracefully.
Today, not only do I coach others to have successful marriages, I practice what I preach. And there is nothing more rewarding for me than watching my clients recreate their marriages to a more loving and supportive relationship than they ever thought possible.
That’s me in a nutshell. I’m a mom with two beautiful daughters, a loving husband and I lead a purposeful life where I get to help men and women communicate, connect, and create happy and healthy relationships.
So…If your relationship is not where it used to be and you are committed to work on it and fight for it to make positive changes, then I am here to help. Feel free to contact me anytime, I would love to talk to you.
